Big bad who?

October 9th, 2009

So far the B’s are 1/3 this season in quality games. Last night against the Ducks was just like the Caps game.

They came out firing on all cylinders in the first, and that was it.

The lone bright spot in the box score was Luch’s +1 rating. He’s the only skater with a plus rating last night.

Three is the magic number

The B’s sign Lucic to a three year extension!

The home opener

October 2nd, 2009

What can be said about last nights performance other than awful. The B’s looked like they had never played together before. What disappointed me the most was the lack of energy they displayed. Lets hope Saturday is a little more up tempo.

Thursday! Thursday! Thursday!

Lace up the skates, tie on the sweater, and get ready to drop the gloves! The ‘09-’10 season starts up tonight!

Bets on who scores first for the B’s tonight?

Kessel going, going, gone?

September 14th, 2009

Everything I read these days points to Kess being shipped out of town. If he does leave, who will the B’s look to fill the gap he leaves? Another question that comes to mind, how many fans is he going to lose by being the d-bag that holds out for money and has no team interest? So as long as he gets his pay check he probably doesn’t care who he skates for.

Stability at the helm

September 4th, 2009

The B’s extend Claude Julien’s contract. This is a good thing. Claude has definitely helped turn the team to a good direction after years of frustration.

All Day Power Play — Check.

August 11th, 2009

I am happy to say that I survived the 24 hour charity event for the second year in a row. I had a great time and it was good to see some familiar faces and meet a bunch of new people. The highlight of my day was playing defense, making a break out pass to Rick Middleton and being able to sit back and watch him wheel and deal. The man can still move! Good times.
IMG_1441 This is my friend Mark and I approx 11 or 12 hours into the marathon.

Thanks to everyone who donated to the cause. The money people are currently estimating we have raised over $15,000 with more on the way.
